SKY BOWS - Show Us Your Life

Today I am Linking up with Kelly's Korner - it is shows us  your small business.  This is not my business but this is my good friends Shelly business.  It is Sky Bows by Shelly.  Shelly makes bows and just opened her Esty site.  I love the bows that she makes and Ashley is starting to have a collection from Sky Bows.  Lots of us buy from Shelly because we love her bows and we are local so we don't have to use the Etsy site.  If you are not local I promise you will love the bows.  Don't let the few orders on the Etsy site scare you off.  It is just getting off the ground.

Shelly at home with her 2 beautiful daughters.   She is involved in MOPS. Shelly is also our Life Group leader. As well as our small group leader on Wednesday nights. As you can see Shelly is a very Godly Woman. I tease her that she  should start a blog you would just fall in love with her family and girls. She is so encouraging to others.

Weekend

Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend.  It makes me ready for summer.

First Friday night Kerry and her husband Nick and their daughter Abby come to visit and had dinner with us.  They were on there way to Charleston for the weekend.    Kerry and I were roommates for about 7 years out of college.  Kerry also did her student teaching at Franklin and then was hired to teach math there.  We had some great times together.  Our girls play so well together and they will both start Kindergarten the same year.

This is the girls playing dress up.  Then Ashley always wants to have a silly picture.

This is what we had to eat.  Since it was Mom's weekend at the U of I.  We did not want to adventure out to eat with the girls.

Then Saturday morning Ashley had a soccer game.  They play 3 on 3.  It was freezing outside, indoor soccer looking better every Saturday.

Ashley did a great job at soccer Saturday.  She was on a team with 4 boys.  I can not wait to see how she improves.

Then Saturday afternoon Ashley was invited to a birthday party.  It was held at a Stable out in Mahomet.  Olivia has a horse.  So they all got to have pony rides.

This is the group looking at the horses.  Ashley was not sure about the smell of the stables.

This is Ashley and Tracey checking out the horse.

Ashley hanging out on the hay.  She also thought it was "wheat"
This is Ashley taking her turn on the horse after they went around.  Ashley said I am ready to go around again.

This is Katie, Ashley and Sophie enjoying being together on the hay.

This is Ashley working hard at her ice cream cake.  She is getting so big and independent.

Then on Sunday we went to the Ribeye.  To celebrate Ileana being appointed to the school board.  It was so nice of my mom and dad to buy us dinner.  Kyle calls the Ribeye the best Steak place around.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Next weekend  also be a fun packed weekend with the Illinois Marathon.  We also have Abbey baby shower in Danville.

I would love for you to share how your weekend was also.

EASTER 2012

We had a wonderful Easter.  We have been crazy busy with swim lesson and we just started outdoor soccer.  Except I wanted to share some pictures from Easter with you.  We went to 5 different Easter Egg hunts.  The first one we only received 4 eggs, the second one was 8 that was the cap they put on the number you could get.  The third hunt we didn't get any - it was at the park district and kids started before they were post to. The 4th one we picked up 32 eggs that was lots of fun.  The last egg hunt at our family Easter we had way too many to count.

This is before the first egg hunt started.  So excited about getting so many eggs.

This is the start of the first Easter egg hunt in Savoy.

Ashley is off!!!!

This is her face when she realizes that she only has 4 eggs.  After all that work.

Ashley with the Easter Bunny - we recovered pretty quick from being upset.  We still have another Easter Egg hunt to go to today.

We went to a Easter Party at the Rantoul Library.  Ashley loved it they read 5 Easter stories.  We did a craft and then they had an Easter Egg hunt inside where you could pick up 8 eggs.

Inside Easter Egg Hunt and making a craft to put our eggs in.

This month when we would go to Rantoul.  We would have Grandma go with us out to Rural King and look at the baby chicks.  Ashley always wanted to take one home with her.  Luckily the Easter bunny did not bring a chick this year.

This is Ashley with the Easter Bunny at the Easter Egg Hunt where we did not get any eggs.

I love this Easter Egg Hunt!!!

Ashley with another Easter Bunny!!!!

This is at the family Easter Egg Hunt - this is the best one of the season.  We even had cupcake and transformers Easter Eggs but the kids thought those did not look like eggs and would not pick them up.

This is our lovely family - not everyone was able to make it.  We missed them dearly.  Except a memory we will  always have is the Easter Egg Hunts at Aunt Maru's.
