Great Start To The 4th!

We had a busy Saturday with no real plans.  We started out this morning by going to the parade in Tolono for their fun days.  We picked up Grandma and brought her along.

Ashley wanted to take pictures while we waited.  She loves to take silly pictures.

Erica Harold was in the parade.  Erica is from Urbana and is running for Congress.

After the parade we walked to their park and they had a few booths and food - except the lines were way to long.  Ashley did find the glitter tattoo booth.

Then we went off to see the new Urbana outdoor aquatic center.  Today was post to be their grand opening of the 9.1 million facility.  Except its not ready to open till next week.

Except we have a problem even though we are 5 years old.  We are not tall enough for the slides.

Then in the evening we walked from my mom's house up the street to Windsor to watch Bloomington Gold Tour - its was a parade of corvettes.  There were so many cars....  It was really neat.

Except this is what Ashley and Sebastian did during the parade of cars.

Ashley bottom tooth is ready to come out.  She just lost the one next to it.  So she is very obsessed with the tooth.  So she had to take pictures of her tooth.  I wonder if it will be out by Monday?

Hopefully we are off to a great start for the 4th of July.  We will hopefully have a busy week.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I love linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm Loving -  this week is Vacation Bible School at church.  Tons of children.

I'm Loving - that Thursday we find out where Isaiah Canaan from Murray State will be drafted.

The last time a player from Murray State was drafted was back in 1996, when the Portland Trailblazers chose Marcus Brown with the 46th pick. 17 years later Isaiah Canaan (a.k.a. "Sip") looks to not only be one of the 60 players selected but possibly sneak into the first round.  I went to school with Marcus.

I'm Loving -  the two dresses I got last night from Dress Barn.  I can't find them on the website to show you pictures.  Hope that does not mean they are not styleish :)

I'm Loving - that Friday is the end of safety and Monday I start BTW wheel with my students.

I'm Loving - that I am up to 34 followers.  It only took me years.  Once I hit 35 it will be time for another Give Away.  Can't wait!!!!!

I am Loving - that we have 8 more days of summer school safety.  Then I start driving with the students.

I am Loving - that Sunday our church kicks off VBS.  This year its only 3 nights and then 2 nights of family activities.

I am Loving - that today I get to go to dinner with some moms from Ashley pre-school.

I am Loving - that Ashley is enjoying her camps in the mornings.  I also thankful that my mom is able to pick her up.

Warm Weather Please

Its June and we are ready for the pool.  We have been twice except it has not been that warm low 70's.  I am so excited cause Ashley can go down the slides all by herself!!!

Ashley gets her choice of tubes.........

Its hard work to get the tube up to the slide.

Now I am ready to go down the slide

These goggles we got in Destin over spring break I was hoping they did not make it to the pool this summer.  Ashley packed her own swim bag.

Can not wait to spend the summer at the pool.

Weekend Recap

Sorry this is going to be long.  We had a really busy weekend.
Its Monday first day of summer vacation.  I have a week off before summer school starts.  The only good part is that I only work mornings.  Except I sure would like the entire summer off.
This weekend was packed.  Friday was the last day of school and my mom also retired from Parkland.  I just feel that is such a milestone in her life.  Friday night I babysat my friends girls that are close in age to Ashley.  Their mom is in play this weekend.
Saturday we got up bright and early.  Ashley and I went with my brother and mom and Sebastian to the Central Cheerleaders pancake breakfast.

Then we were off to Danville for Kaitlyn wedding shower.  Ashley is passing out bubbles during the wedding.  The shower had a picnic theme.

They played fun games at the shower.  This is Bella and Ashley with Kaitlyn.

These are the girls that are going to be in the wedding.  Plus Addison and Bella that are not pictured.

Then we raced back to Champaign and dropped off Ashley with my dad.  Who was so nice and watched Sebastian and Ashley together.  So I could go off to my friends play in Monticello.  My mom was so nice to come along with me.

The play was "Hallelujah Girls" — and it has been described as "Steel Magnolias" meets "Golden Girls" it was funny.  Jamie did a wonderful job.

Sunday we had a graduation party to go to for Ryan.  He just graduated high school and will be attending the University of Illinois.   I had him and his brother in middle school. He had such a nice party.  I wanted to take pictures but I thought people might think I am a little strange.  They had a big RV set up with a TV playing pictures of Ryan from when he was first born till now.  They had like 4 smokers going - pulled pork, ribs, etc.
Ashley thought this was pretty cool that they had in their backyard.

Then we finished the evening with our small group. Ah how I miss being in Destin with these girls.
