Never apologize for how big your life is.  Only those who don't belong in it will ask you to.

We all have a story.  The trick is not to let your story have YOU. Where you've been does NOT define you.

Loving Wednesday

I am Loving - the beautiful weather - I think this is the best weather for Spring Break - when we go back next week we will have 44 days till Summer Break.

I am Loving - Town House Flatbread Crisps - Sea Salt and  Olive Oil.  I need to find something to spread on them.  I guess they have been out for awhile.

I am Loving - my pinterest finds  this week -

Pink Tulips Bucket of Spring Tulips Spring by twoinspireyou

I am Loving - by the end of the week we should know if Shaka Smart is going to be the New Illinois Basketball Coach.  He has not told us No yet! In hopes of luring Smart, Illinois has guaranteed facility renovations, a long-term contract and a salary near the top of the Big Ten. His annual compensation would be comparable to that of Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, who makes more than $3 million per year according to USA Today salary reports.

Smart, who reportedly was on the road Tuesday recruiting in North Carolina for VCU, earned $1.285 million last season. His contract stipulates an $800,000 buyout if he leaves for another job before April 30.

The school that hires Smart must schedule a two-year home-and-home series with the Rams or pay them $250,000.

Staycation - Part 1

This week we are on Spring Break -  Love being a teacher!!!  We are having a Staycation - sometimes those end up being the best vacations.
Monday started off  by Ashley and I went to I -Power open gym.  Ashley loves going - she walks in and tells the lady that is working - I always come here.  We have only been 3 times.

Ashley jumping on the trampoline she loved this.  Ashley is taking a gymnastics class on Thursday at her school Chesterbrook - the neat part about it the teacher is Bill Staley and he taught me for many years.  I never thought he would be teaching my daughter gymnastics.

Ashley jumping into the foam pit.  Ashley did practice her  somersaults while we were at the gym.

After the gym - Ashley went to daycare for awhile.  While I went to tan and run.   I also went to lunch with my mom.  This is the best time to eat on campus at the University of Illinois while the students are away.

We ate at a new Mexican restaurant Maize - they even have a website. This is a hidden gem in Champaign.   My mom had a chicken burrito it was only $4.50 she loved it.  I should of took a picture.  I had a Quesadilla it was really good also.  I will be going back.

Then tonight Ashley and I and River went to Skateland.  The church was having a social there.  This is the first time that I have tried Ashley on skates.  She was so excited to be going.

Ashley with her skates on ready to hit the rink.

River and Ashley ready to go!  Ashley just knows this is going to be the best thing ever.

This is the start - this might take awhile -

We got back up and tried again.  We did have a few tears.  We made it around the rink 4 times in 2 hours.  We did stop and play a few video games, visit the snack bar and check out the restrooms.

This did help us get around a little faster - I had to laugh they charged us extra $3.00 for this extra help.

After all that skating we needed to go to one of our favorite places  Cocomero So many frozen yogurt flavors to choose from and a fantastic selection of both fruit and sweet toppings. The yogurt itself and the available toppings are always fresh and delicious.

Love these girls!  Not a bad way to start our Staycation!!!!

Loving Wednesday

Today I am linking up with Jamie for What I am Loving Wednesday.  I love her blog and wish I had half of the dresses she loves on Wednesday.
I am Loving - my great friends that I went to college with - we spent the weekend in Nashville and it felt like just yesterday we were all living in the dorms.  ( Go Racers Murray State)

I am Loving -  The Cupcake Collection we went to in Nashville on Sunday.  We met the guy that owned cupcake store and he told us Sunday was one of his top selling days and he thought he would sell 7,000 cupcakes on Sunday.  There was a line waiting to get in before he opened.

Next time you are in Nashville you should go and get a Cupcake - I brought home one of every kind.

I am Loving -  This hope necklace that I got from U design Jewelry

U Design Jewelry was founded by Jennifer and Bret Bonacorsi. Jennifer is an ex-Special Education Teacher and now a stay at home Mom. Bret was a National Sales Manager and ex-Retail Buyer. They officially started U Design Jewelry, a Direct Marketing company, in January of 2004.   Bret and Jennifer are where I  from Rantoul IL.  Jennifer and I were in the same class.  There parents are still living in Rantoul.

I am Loving - the tweets from TheSingleWoman - Owning our story and & loving ourselves thur the process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.

Some days are wins & others are big, fat loses...but at the end of the day, the game of LIFE is always worth it.

RACER WEEKEND!

Went to Nashville this weekend for the OVC Basketball Tournament.  To cheer on Murray State where I went to college and graduated with a Physical Education and Health Degree K-12.

I was very lucky to miss the storms.  I drove  to Evansville and met Monica that lived across the hall we lived on the  top floor the 10th floor of Regents. We became friends and were friends all threw college.  It took me 4 hours to drive to Evansville.  I did not drive in any rain.  How lucky is that?

When I got to Evansville they were all talking about the storm coming.  Monica kept looking on her phone about the weather and the map was coded all red.  We listened on the Radio on the way to Nashville about the storm coming to Nashville.  The entire time I had a piece about the storm that everything would be OK.

We just missed the tornado in her home town.  Her neighbors house was damaged.  Her road was closed off.  My car was unharmed...that I left there for the weekend.  God is Faithful.

We arrived in Nashville - checked into our hotel - asked what the plan was for the Tornado - they said everyone will go to the stairwell.  Angelle arrived our other great friend from college - Monica and Angelle got apartment together in college - I spent lots of time over at their apartment during our years at Murray. So we decided to take the shuttle to downtown and eat the tornado was not going to scare us off.

We went to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville

So I had some peel and eat shrimp and sense we were at Margaritaville I had to try a pomegranate Margarita - it was pretty good.

This was going on outside as we were inside - soaking up the tunes.

It was hailing and raining outside.  So we waited inside till it stoped raining.  Then we caught the free city bus to the game.  That was interesting.

Once we got to the game they had us all go to the parking garage.  It was about 3000 Racers fans.  Everyone was very happy did not mind that we were standing in a parking garage.  This is Angelle waiting for the line to move.

Racer Fans waiting to go into the game.

At the game we met up with our other great friends and my roommate  Felicia - she is now attorney - she was always into the books - and it paid off.   I am so proud of her!!!

Me, Felicia, Daffney, Angelle and Monica.  We have been to many games together - now we are all grown up.

Racer won Friday night - so now they will play in the Championship on Saturday.  After the game we went to the Cheesecake Factory and ate.  This trip is all about basketball and eating..

Saturday morning we went and ate at a really neat place in Germantown Nashville - Monell's is an eatery housed in an old plantation house. The meals are served family style, so you get to make new friends while you eat. There is a never ending supply of Southern favorites such as fried chicken, pancakes, corn pudding, ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, Cinnamon rolls, cheese grits.  It was all you can eat.  I would love to take my Dad there to eat.

This is us before we went into to eat.

While you are inside eating you can have your car washed.  Some of the guys that were at our table had there car washed while they were inside eating.

On to the Championship Game -

This is Angelle and her husband Dwight they met at Murray.  What a great couple.  I can't wait to see them again.

 #1 MURRAY STATE 54 #2 TENNESSEE STATE 52

NASHVILLE (AP) - The 12th-ranked Murray State Racers (who are No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today poll) gave some breathing room for the NCAA tournament to somebody. Just barely.
Jewuan Long drove the baseline for a layup with 4.4 seconds left, and Murray State rallied from seven points down in the final 5:28 to beat Tennessee State 54-52 for the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship Saturday and the automatic NCAA tournament berth.

2012 MURRAY STATE RACERS

It was a great weekend with great friends!!!  Good Luck Racers in the NCAA.
