Monday Mingle

Saturday was the last home football game we tailgated.  It was lots of fun had our taco in a bag..  We can not wait for next year.  It can only go up from this season!!!   I am not the best blogger - I did not get any pictures!!!

Sunday - Church and then I went to Rantoul to the Gifford Craft fair.  I love going with my mom.  All I bought has chocalate for my secret santa...  Except on the way to Rantoul I hit the sign at Macdondals......  Not a good day - I get a rental car tomorrow... YES I teach drivers education.........

Then in the evening we went to our church soup supper.  I was nervous going with Ashley she does not sit very good.  She did great - she loved the Chicken Noodle Soup.  They had wonderful pies...

My Sunday School class - Love them!

                                          This age loves to color!

Love the girls from our Life Group

                                             Ashley loves TY and JD......

Monday - was back to work.  Ashley was so excited she asked grandpa to pick her up at Chesterbrook at 10:00 to go to open gym at I- Power.  He did and Ashley was so excited.  I think we have found a job for Dad on Mondays.  He says next week he won't be able to leave Chesterbrook without Seabastian next week...

Monday night we went to see Danville play Centennial in boys basketball.  Let me tell you high school varsity games go much faster then middle school games!!!

Sarah and Addison our cousins were cheering for Danville.  We got to sit next to my counsin Stacey ( Addison mom) during the game.  Also my mom went with us.  Dave and Karen Stimac were there.  Their son Troy is a coach at Danville.  The Stimac parents were best friends of my grandparents.  I have many memories of Christmas Eve at the Stimac's.

                                                        Sarah and Ashley!

Tailgating Weekend

Monday's are so hard after a fun weekend.  The weather was wonderful  70's.....  Today was 40's..........  Ashley daycare was closed but I had school.  So my brother and dad watched Ashley along with Sebastian.  They did have afternoon school but no bus ride today..  I think Ashley had a full day she was in bed before 7:00 p.m.  All day I was having mommy guilt wishing I was home with her.....

Friday night - we ran errands...  Ashley loves looking in Michael's.  She picked out a Christmas tree ornament it is red with A for Ashley....  I just wish I could buy everything I see in there :)

Saturday -  ILLINI  back home again - with a full day of tailgating. It was so much fun...Whitney and Ken and I arrived before 9:00 a.m. and staked out our spot.  The tip off for the game was 2:30 p.m.

Our Illini are having a rough season.....  Except we are not fair weather fans..  .... from Coach Beckman
A little recap on the football game: you know, again, (in) the game of football, you have to make plays and Minnesota made more plays then we did in that football game, and they ended up winning the football game on us. I thought our kids played with good effort. They did exactly what we asked them to do but when the time comes to make a play, we either didn't make it, overthrew it, didn't make the catch, didn't make the interception or missed a tackle. But that's the way the game of football is made up. So you have to give credit to Minnesota. They made the plays we didn't make them."  We lost 17-3.

We had a great time tailgating - here  are some pictures......

My mom trying to tell my Dad where we are at!!!  He wants to know what he should bring???????

Where did the week go??  It has really gone fast we had two boys basketball games this week.  Ashley had dance tonight - she was not the best listener at class.  She tells me she trying but her brain just has crazies in them.  Where does she get this stuff?

Going to catch up with my Thankfulness.....

Sunday November 4 -  I am thankful for my small group from church.  We meet on Sunday nights.  We take turns bringing a meal for the group.  We are going to Destin for Spring Break!!!  ( I need to go back and read everyone blogs about their trips to Destin).

Monday November 5 - Thankful that I am able to go to Ashley Class and be a book mentor.  I get to read to her class once a month.  I also go early and read to a class before hers.  I read a book to the class and then we do activity together.  The class gets to take home the book that I have read.

This was the book we did this month.  So much fun....

Tuesday November 6th - I am thankful that we have the right to vote.  I stayed up way to late waiting for the presidents speech.

Wednesday Nov 7th - I am thankful that I have a job.  I love teaching.  We have really great children and some days it does not seem like work...  Some days I feel like I am still in middle school.

Thankfulness

Keeping up with my Thankfulness...

Friday Nov 2nd -  I am Thankful for my parents.  I am so lucky to have them close.  I am spoiled.....  I would not be where I am at without them....  We don't take lots of family pictures...  Someday I am going to wish I had more pictures.  Or I was better at organizing them.

Saturday Nov 3rd - I am Thankful for my job as Athletic Director.  I love seeing the kids play and mature.  The main goal is that they make it on a varsity sport team in high school.  That does not happen for everyone.  It was so cute today to watch Ashley wanting to work in the concession stand.  She was going and trying to get drinks they would tell her what the person wanted and she would bring back what ever she wanted to bring back.

This is with two of my cross country runners at our bowling celebration party......

What am I Thankful for

I know we should not just think about what we are thankful for in the month of November.  We should think about it everyday.  So today I saw lots of posts of what people are thankful for.  So I figure it would be good if I focus also this month with what I am thankful for.

I know I say this over and over - I am thankful that I am a mom.  I love being a mom.  Ashley just turned 5 and she is so much fun to be around.  I never thought I could love some one so much!

31 Days to Thankfullness

It's Monday and the 1st of October.  This month I must be crazy thinking I can stay up with blogging for 31 days...

I think it is so important to remember the everyday things we are thankful for...  I know times are hard and lately I feel like that truck is about to run over me.  Except I know I have so much to be thankful for.  That I have a loving God that died for me.  I could live in way far off conditions...

 So today remember

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

Happy Monday!!!!!
